Meaning of 'compel' No 2
This amendment looks to exclude the opt-in activities from falling under the Equality Act or Human Rights Act definitions of performing a public function.

OK, this is not just looking to define the ability of same sex couples to be treated equally, it also seeks to deny us human rights in this area. This is a really sickening amendment.
After Clause 2
Insert the following new Clause—
“Meaning of “compelled” (No. 2)
For the avoidance of doubt, a person does not exercise a public function for
the purposes of the Human Rights Act 1996, the Equality Act 2010, or
judicial review, when the person—
(a) refrains from undertaking an opt-in activity, or
(b) undertakes an opt-out activity.”
